◈ STRITON ◈

London Street

Rolling hills, temperate coasts at the capitol. Known for their technical genius and innovations.

But that innovation came at a cost seen by the wasteland which surrounds them.

◈ GEOGRAPHY

The city Striton stands on the grassy cliffside facing the Arling Ocean as a shining pearl of gold, brass and steel. In the 1900s it continues to stand as an icon of progress and enlightenment.

In-between these features are hints of Striton's industrial stain and progress... infrastructure, railways and outposts.

Travelling north becomes muddied and humid with marshland and rocky sunken mires riddled with hazards and rewards.

The thickness of nature is almost impossible to penetrate even for the industrial might of Striton and so the northern countryside of Prax remains resistant to the Striton corporatocracy, and independent state.

After the first treasure war the landscape was scorched by fire bombings and a technical near-nuclear like explosion that has permanently left much of the surrounding once-temperate hillsides into harsh rocky craters and warm sandy flats.

◈ BLIGHTED LANDS

With the blight, the by-product of Striton's technical prowess, its pollution and other nasty mutations in muk and tar take form. strange sickness and twisting of chemicals haunt the artificial wasteland and lick at the iron walls of the city, slowly seeping in with its insidious burning diseases on its back.

The Dominos of choices made decades ago are finally falling back on its players and the every-man shall pay the debt

◈ GOVERNMENT

Striton is chaos, such is the nature of a melting pot and many types of government in a sticky web that looks a bit like an anarcho-capitalist hellscape with a varnishing of peachy-keen smiles.

◈ LIFESTYLES

Despite being a pillar of progress and technology, enlightenment and inventions, Striton's lower-class citizens take a huge blow. For all the quality of life they do have, the work-culture can be soul-crushing. Many work to the bone and unfairly.

Generational debt isn't a shy word in the corporate man's mouth but the sentiment of workplace-loyalty is still very much alive at the current time, especially since the results speak for themselves with many living fatally in slums that are right next to the walls of the city.

Blighted creatures and disease often leak into the city and provide plenty of work for enforcers.

◈ CULTURE & BELIEFS

Because of its location Striton was flanked on all sides by other factions and countries, stuck in a stagnation of warring and paranoia from Stitchers North, Splicers East and Cannibals South in Welkland.

Tough times eventually brought forth the tougher and innovative of its people, rapidly shooting Striton into an industrial age ahead of its neighbouring lands.

Ontop of these rapid developments Striton revolutionized how it came together instead of sellswords and aristocrats it embraced scientific expansionist mindset and corporatocracy.

◈ CONFLICTS

The factions in old Striton would constantly find themselves in conflicts with Welkland's people in days passed.
Overtime their innovation lead to working with the kingdom Estin.

When the first treasure war occured it was an easy split where Estin remained allied with Striton.

During the second, Striton was independant.

◈ THE TREASURE WARS

During the treasure wars, Striton's greed for money or information reared its head awfully, causing breaks of alliances or accidentally bombing itself.

It was a power to be recognized and always tried to one-up the others in war in an arms race.

Striton continues to try and dominate in fire-power but has since grown animosity with its sister-country 'Estin' after The Second Treasure War was halted from chaos and miscommunication during the first occurrence of the blight.

Some many countries tend to either put most blame on Corobi or Striton for the events that lead to the creation of the blight.
