STITCHER
A variant of Human, altered through mystical means to a state of 'undead'.
Older almost prehistoric surgical practices performed by 'druids' , 'witches' and 'necromancers' would result in stitchers.
Sometimes people can be subject to a naturally occurring version of a stitcher caused by fungus however these stitchers tend to be feral.
SPLICER
A variant of Human, altered through science, genetic splicing and generations of experimenting with different creature DNA.
Splicers have truly mutated to a point of having more animalistic traits and biological functions that don't occur in humans.
Though these biological alterations over time have unforeseen side-effects of illness.
GRUKON
Towering insectoids that originate from cavernous and rocky regions of the world.
Most live deep underground but there are a handful of civilizations and families that have found a way to thrive on the surface.
Because of their nature warmer climates are always recommended for the insectoid's health.
PILLBUG
Significantly smaller relatives to the Grukon.
Small, adaptable and sociable they also originate from rocky and cavernous locations, preferring warmer climates due to their underground living.
Unlike their giant counterparts, Pillbugs can be seen at many prevalent towns and civilizations engaging in business and crafting.
OYIN
Small, bat-like humanoids that live similarly to the Pillbugs.
Oyin are another race that originate from the underground and occasionally come to the surface.
Their senses are built for utter darkness and thus struggle with surface life, but that hasn't stopped the occasional group of crafty Oyin yet.
WURM
A rare and mysterious subterranean race which is often considered abominable and have little contact with others.
Wurms often appear as monstrous worms sharing the similar shapeshifting skills as some creatures. However as a civilized intelligent people it brings distrust and disdain at times.
They tunnel through caves and shapeshift or camouflage to blend in with their environment or other people, often mistaken for splicers.
HORROR
No matter who it is, all inhabitants are subject to the world's particular cruelty and twisted monstrosities.
And the world will try to twist you.
For better or for worse.
You will come face to face with horrors one day...
